Default stripped gears in a hitec 645 dig servo

has anyone ever stipped the gears in their hitec 645 servo when using it for dig? i stripped them yesterday during a gtg. should i upgrade to a better servo for dig?

IMO the 645 should be plenty stong...replace the gears..then make sure end points on radio are set correctly...that's the only thing I can think that would cause the problem...Good luck

I agree 645 should not break as a dig servo. Check the dig and linkages for binding also.

I've used 645s as steering servos on 1/10 buggies, 1/12 carpet racers and 1/10 touring cars used for "Demolition Derby"-style racing. I've broken plenty of front hubs and wishbones, but never broken a 645. These things are tough.
