Default FX-R Capacitors

Well I was being a goon and not paying attention re-wiring my rig and forgot to insulate my quick disconnects that I run from my motor to my esc. The two motor wires were essentially arcing across each other...and as I sat there giving my radio more throttle wondering why the car is not doing anything (like an idiot) the capacitor blew up like a freaking black cat. The crazy thing is after the smoke cleared and I insulated the wires, to my amazement the FX-R still seemed to function properly....it would arm itself and move the truck like normal, steer etc. I shut it down after that, I was worried about messing with it with no capacitor.

I was wondering if any of you guys know where to get another capacitor? Can I just get one from the LHS or Radio Shack?

Thanks guys.

TT3520 is the Tekin part number and online it runs about 2-5 dollars.

TT3518 Power Cap 16V 180uF B1 B1R Series (2)
TT3520 Power Cap 16V 330uF Fx R1 series (2)
TT3522 Power cap 16v 1000uF all units (2)

given the ratings. i think if you were to go to store and get a cap (radio shack) and make sure it is a 33uF rated should work fine. I thought lots of people use home bought ones on older esc's don't know why they wouldn't work with current.

You want low ESR caps, the rat shack ones won't be proper.

Running without a proper cap puts the FETs in danger of burning up.

Fry's electronics, if you have one where you are. I got 2 of them for under $5, plus they are high heat resistant.
