Default Holmes 45t troubles

Hi All

I am running a Bully with 2 x 45t Torque master pro motors.
The ESC is BR-XL and am also using a punk dig.

After about 2 hours of running over 3 weekends the rear motor seemed to loose power than stopped working. The motor will still work if you assist it to start by turning the wheels by hand. When you stop the throttle the motor will not work again.

I replaced the brushes and no different. Replaced the motor and worked fine.

20 min later the front motor has gone the same way.

Any thoughts as to what may be the issue?

Thanks

So you've replaced both motors and don't have the issue? If so, that really rules out the electronics. Since you have replaced the brushes and such, I doubt you have a hung brush or anything.

Now the front did the same thing? Did it do it in the front or did you switch it to the rear?

Any chance you can get me a few pics of the armature?

There's lots of things it could be, but lots of questions...

That really sounds like a hung brush...

Even though you've replaced the brushes, I'd still check to be sure they are moving freely in the hoods.

Did you try cleaning them?

replaced the front motor today. That put a new motor in the front and the back.

Switched it on. Small puff of smoke and the esc got hot fast. Disconnected, waited for esc to cool down, connected 1 motor dirrectly to the esc to eliminate the dig. Esc got hot really fast again.

Am now thinking it was never the motors but an issue with the electrinics. Wether it was the ESC or the dig that created the original issue, who knows. Will have to wait until my new gear turns up to test.
