Default Sidewinder ESC ??

First off I know nothing about Sidewinder's. I'm a Novak guy

I traded for this esc for my scaler and it worked fine, now I can't get it to work forwards or backwards...steerings fine. I'd like to use it incase I ever go to a 3 cell lipo.

What should I try to do to get it working right.

If I can't get it working I'll get rid it it and and go to back to another Rooster Crawler

In my opinion I would recommend staying with Castle....Try reloading the
software on the ESC, and make sure you have everything bound up correctly,
should work...I run my Sidewinder on 4S on my scaler....It barely gets warm,
highly recommend castle

It worked fine before I recharged the battery.

I don't have the link set up to upload any thing and I don't want to spend any more money on it if it doesn't work.

Duno what to say then...That would be the first thing I would do...Check the
ESC setting and reset the software...GL with the fix..

Going to Novak would be a downgrade. Their stuff in the crawler world is about 2-3 years behind schedule.

You likely need to re-calibrate. To do this follow the below steps.

-Center your throttle trim
-With your radio turned on, hold the throttle all the way(as if you were driving forward), then plug in the battery or turn on the switch. It will chime an alarm, then just a consistent "beep.....beep....beep....". Once it does it's alarm, then the steady beeping, hold reverse. It will go through the same alarm, then series of beeps. From there, release the throttle to center, and it will do the alarm, and beeps a final time. Then it will alarm you that it has armed. At that point it should work. When you give it forward throttle, the lights on the ESC should be green, and reverse is red I believe.

Also check your motor. In scalers, motors are abused regularly. Especially if any dirt or water gets in them. In fact, it would make more sense that the motor has gunk in it.

If the re-calibration doesn't work, put some voltage to the motor by itself to see if it turns.

What kind of radio are you using?
