Default Losi ESC for Mini High Roller buzzing

I have not used my Losi 1/18 Mini High Roller Truck in 2 months. It worked fine when I last used it & it is only 7 months old. Tonight I upgraded my stock Losi 2.4ghz radio to a RC4WD XR2 2-Channel 2.4Ghz Transmitter/Receiver so I could better control or rather limit top speed for the track I race on. Now I can not get the motor to run period. My new radio controls my steering perfect on channel 1 & my throttle does not work at all (channel 2). I swapped my steering & throttle and steering once again works fine but as my throttle trigger (of course) & my steering knob does not control my motor at all. I did this so I could make sure channel 2 was my throttle as the new radio & receiver have 3 inputs. I also tried a different motor & no go. Now here is where it gets even more confusing. I hooked back up my stock radio & receiver & it will no longer control either my steering or throttle. The steering works for 1/100th of a second & then stops working. I tried an old Losi esc & it would not make the motor run either. I tried the old esc on another car & it worked fine. I have also tried to reset Losi esc per instructions and no go + I also rebound the stock radio & receiver & it still does not work. I am wondering if new RC4WD radio has messed something up. Any thoughst would be greatly appreciated.

Got it fixed. My race starts in 3 hours...feww. This morning I hooked up on bench & it worked but when in car it did not. Ends up it was the easiest answer possible. Battery in car was strong enough to power steering but not motor. Wish I figured this out last night instead of wasting all my time diagnosing. Lesson learned.
