Newb ESC problem

i have a sidewinder brushless esc and i am trying to hook it up to an integy 35t motor. when i hook it up as reverse brushed motor it wont go into reverse and when i go forward with it its like it is very jumpy. very sketchy. this is my very first build and i am extremely frustrated. I have almost $600 in this build and its not working properly. I AM SERIOUSLY GETTING PISSED!!!!:x:x:x:x

Are you using the Castle link? Did you reprogram your throttle endpoints to the ESC? Sounds like it is in brushless mode, and if you bought it from a storefront there is a chance it was from the first batch that had a bug in the firmware that wouldn't allow for brushed mode with stick programming.

ok well after lots of searching on google i finally found out that the only way to get it working is to use the link in order to get it out of brushless mode man i wish i would of know that. would have saved a great deal of aggrevation. this hobby just keeps getting more and more expensive.

You should be able to select brushed mode via stick programming if the firmware is recent. Otherwise I could program it for you if you have no hobby shop or means around you.

I can do it if you meet me half way, don't think I am headed back over to Ocala any time soon. Maybe Citra or somewhere, then it would only be 20-25 mins for each of us. That is unless you want to come to Hawthorne.:ror:
