| need other water proofing.......
other then plasti-dip for my sidewinder ESC....i had one coat on it with PD and i couldn't get it behind the 2 cap on the +/- end of ESC even using toothpicks....i'm thinking of using 2 part epoxy to seal my sidewinder that has the mixing probe that has a point to it....any reason why i shouldn't, i see holmes waterproof BR-XL looks to be an epoxy or lexan type sealer molded around it.........bob .... |

You can also get the plasti dip in a spray can. one nice thing about the plasti dip is that it comes off cleanly if you need to remove it for some reason. I'm not sure about using an epoxy, I would stay away from it.

I took a knife and cut the case off over the caps, then dunked it. The epoxy is fine also, but can't be removed for repair. I think it was Jetboat that did an epoxy thread a few weeks back.

I can do it for you, but it ruins the warranty. I have both epoxy and urethane products that can do the job and make a tight bond to the conformal coating. I prefer the epoxy because it is easier to work with. Is the ESC heavily used, or dirty? |
