| Sidewinder Internal BEC voltage?
I searched all over the castle site and on here ... I know I've seen it someplace and I'm just failing at searching. Can anyone throw me a bone and tell me what the internal BEC on a sidewinder is rated at? |

I believe they are 5 or 6v output at 3amps. As you probably know, running a sidewinder on a 3S battery is useless. Unless you run an external BEC. |

I'm looking at doing a servo winch and was thinking about using the ESC BEC to provide power to the winch servo only since the boards heyok makes can only handle 6v. But 5v isn't enough anyway. (Thanks racerrandy) I wonder if the SV2 sidewinders are the same or if their BECs got beefed up at all. Edit: I called Castle today and the new SV2 sidewinder BEC voltage is the same as the old, 5.1v Last edited by Locked Up; 01-31-2011 at 11:17 AM. | |
