Do you run a BEC to the RX? Then you plug it into the RX.

Do you have the BEC feeding the servo then plug it into the ESC if the ESC is feeding the RX.

Better question is do you need a fan.
If you are running the ESC in a crawler depending of the Kv of the motor you most likely dont need a fan.
I'm running a EZRUN in my scaler that weighs in at around 2.7kg (6lbs) on 3s, no fan the hottest the esc has ever gotten is 45*c (113*f) and that was on a day that it was 35*c (95*f) ambient.
