mamba 25?

i got a mamba 25 on trade works great but what i was wondering if it will run a brushed motor like the sidewinder!

Yes, you need to set it for brushed mode, the easiest way is to use a Castle Link, while you are at it upgrade the firmware to take advantage of the crawler settings for the drag brake. I think there is a motor limit of 35T, but one of the electronics guru's here would have a better idea.

If the software has been updated to the latest version then yes it will run a brushed motor.
I currently have one in my MRC with the stock motor and it works great.

For a 540 size motor I'd stick with a 55T or slower motor on 2S. Be sure and run an external BEC.

I just tried my mamba 25 with the newest firmware in my brothers comp crawler with a novak 55T motor and a 1300mah 3S pack and the ESC caught fire and melted after driving about 4 feet.... :( had everything set correctly and we where running a CC BEC for the radio set at 6.0V.
