Novak goat 3s Q

Probably a stupid Q but I have been outa the hobby a while.Bought a losi comp crawler with novak goat 3s 21.5 ballistic castle bec and hitec 7955tg and 225 mg dig servo.spektrum dx3e radio. Why is the red wire in the three wire bundle from esc to spektrum reciever removed.Pin is pulled out and taped back.this wire plugs into throttle on esc.Sorry if it's a dumb q but brushless was brand new when I quit r/c.Thanks in advance.

I am thinking it is because I don't need power a
t the receiver for servos?Because of the bec?

You are correct!

they have this wire pulled outa the plug at receiver, think it would be better to eliminate completely for gliching purposes?

I don't know, but you might still need that red wire for programing via computer. I don't know if novak has a programmer for the Goat escs.

Just make sure it's taped over so it can't hit anything. You realize 5 minutes after you cut it off, you find a reason to need it.:roll:

yep, you made a mistake by removing it completely! You will need it to program the ESC. However, with that said, when i had my Goat 3s (before it had a bad Mofset) it ran great just as it was. So i am hesitant to hook it up and further "tune" it. That ESC was designed for the LCC and Ballistic motor, so..... i say just enjoy it."thumbsup"

Thanks guys.I just pulled the pin out of each end of the cable connector all I have to do is push the wire and pin back in each end.Hopefully I shouldn't need it anyway.
