I am looking for a small charger for when I travel and found this: http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idproduct=7028 At about 5.5"x4" and weighs less than a pound, it fits what I was looking for....the price is right too! I will be charging everything from 325mAh 2S (with TP taps) to 850mAh 4S (with JST taps) packs on this....usually in my car. I believe that it comes with a cigarette charger adapter, but if not, one is simple to make. The only thing I cant seem to find is if it has the ability to balance packs other than those with JST adapters. Maybe an adapter? When at home, I'll still be charging and balancing on my Hyperion 606I...I just needed something for the road. Any input is appreciated. Jeremy |

Pretty good chargers there. The chargery 680b or b+ is a particular favorite of mine too.

For your adapter Jeremy, I've been using one of these Enercell units for the past three years: http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=3875401 I use it for field charging with my Thunder Power 610c and it's been bullet proof thus far. I removed the alligator clips from the charger lead and soldered on 4mm banana plugs. Works real slick |

Polyquest and thunder power are not the same. I reterminate all of my PQ packs to work with standard JST and align pinouts. I prefer to stay away from thunder power packs just because I don't like having a bunch of adapters around. |

I built my own outlet adapter using a non-step down transformer adapter that I bought from the Shack, cut the plug off and wired on some banana plugs....been using it to power my 606I for quite some time now. John, thanks for the info. I guess I will keep looking for the correct balancer adapter for that charger... I wonder if the boards from my Hyperion charger will fit into the 6S port of the A6.... Here is what I would do- Make yourself a 6 cell jst to TP adapter, just like an extension. If you plug in whatever TP pack in with the most negative being the first pin it will work with any cell count through the 6 cell slot. Any other cell will plug into the charger body direct. If you are dealing with PQ or hyperion packs they can be reterminated at the tap to comply with the JST standard. |

Charger itself is very popular, You can read about it in http://www.rcgroups.com/batteries-and-chargers-129/ |

Yes, every charger will run slightly over the batteries voltage to give it the proper charge. What a battery is rated is only its nominal voltage.
