Default is it possible to use spektrum DX6i transmitter?

hey all,

I was wondering if it was possible to use the DX6i transmitter with a crawler. I don't know if it has sreering / throttle trimming. from what i gather from photos, it has throttle trim, but nothing i could use as steering trim. I'd appreciate any helping hand in trying to switch from a regular transmitter to a "box" like one.

you can use it for all kinds of things including crawler. It is 6 channel, and just to run any rig you only need 2 channels. One steering, one throttle. Now you will have 4 extra channels. Winch, Dig, four wheel steering, lights, etc etc. You also can do mixing and the like. In short. Yes it will work and do more than you expect it to do.

thank you for your reply
I am glad to learn that it is possible. I find the "normal" transmitter uncomfortable

Good luck setting it up, I just bought a DX8 to use on a crawler with a 2 speed transmission, rear steering and maybe 2 winches. I am pretty new at RC's and I have no idea what I am doing trying to set up the controller. I am trying to find someone local that flies airplanes that can give me some pointers. I think I will love the radio if I can ever figure out how it all works.
