Default MMP or Tekin rx8 with t8 motor

Ok, I am placing my order tomorrow. I am running a summit trans and wraith axles in a TCC rig. I think i've decided on the t8 2000kv on 4s. Now, do I get the tekin RX8 esc, or castle's Mamba max pro? Other than the auto lipo cut off on the mmp what is the advantages/ disadvantages? Thank You

Rx8 programming on the fly. also just curious did you check the tekin website for the best voltage for the motor you are choosing. That sounds about right for that motor. Also tekin has fantastic support. I'm a fan. the rx8 also has auto lipo cut off and a sweet drag brake and a good bit of other options with out needing a hot wire. Plus you can run brushed motors

Yes I checked the website for the recommended voltage for each motor. I know I want around 30k rpm's.

I had an RX8 and a 2250kv in a summit. We clocked it in springfield one day at 39mph. Fast but man was it a torque monster. RX8 is my vote! Mine didnt have auto Lipo so make sure when you get it. Drag brake is killer too. RX8RX8RX8RX8!!!!!

Can you show me where it has auto detect lipo cutoff? All I'm finding on the site is how to select what voltage to cut off at.

It was awesome once you got the slop out of that summit tranny. It was the awesomist horsepower I've ever experienced in an rc. I want 1 bad right now for the black pearl!

You can put some shims inside i believe???? You have to ask the traxxas guys. Ive never seen one without slop. Search @ traxxas.com ive seen threads on it.

I just spent $550 today on my 1:1 and gonna drop $850 next week on a propane conversion for it so my Rx8 dreamin is over for a bit. Gonna wait on the new brushless crawler motor from tekkin I guess. Ty said hes been runnin a 2250kv and broke everything in a honcho driveline you can break when i asked if it had crazy speed and torque! Food for thought.
