Default Battery location??

I own a berg tracer and was wondering where to mount the battery(lipo 3s 1500mah).

I had it in the middle of the center frame but seems that when mounted to the rear axle i will get lower COG.
So what would be best ...a more forward location or a better COG???

Did anyone ever encountered a problem with an exposed rear mounted battery from crashes and such?

You might try the Berg forum, there's ton's of unique setup over there.

That being said, I prefer to mount my battery on my front axle, I'm not running an MOA, but I like the unsprung weight benefits and the low COG. I fabbed up a lexan cover that protects it from rock rash. I saw a battery tray that situates the battery right behind the front axle on bergs, I think big ron makes them.
