It's awfully hard for us to determine whether or not you need one when your only two posts on this site give absolutely no information on the specifics of your rig. (Welcome to the site, BTW) Give us some specs: What ESC? What servos? What battery? |

I have a simular setup only with GP3300 and a single motor in a TXT and I do not run one of those. I think you would only need it if you ran LiPos.
