What rig is this going into?
Are you running for fun or comping?

A 27T may be a bit fast, but depends on the answers to the above questions.

Those dirt tuned motors are also locked at 24° advanced timing as well. They are designed as a 'race' motor (i use the term loosely)
It will work, but lack torque and also heat up pretty quick.

Have a look at a Team Brood or Holmes Hobbies motor. Much better choice as they are designed for our little rigs.

I have the same motor pick it up for less than 40 bucks at my LHS, I have abused it for 3 weeks now and just had to replace the brushess (i run alot of mud/deep water) the motor hasnt gotten hot on my scx10 yet, (im running the stock spur with a 17t pinion and 2.2 chisels) I think this motor had more torque/power than my stock 27t did (i can wheel this thing all the way over if i try) I was told that they are a good motor because they are fairly cheap a rebuild-able.

hope it helps man. I can tell you i dont regret buying it (although I was scared I toasted it this past weekend but it was just the brushess.) I would buy it again (unless someone shows me a cheaper/better one)

+1, if this motor is for a scaler, it may be OK. If it's for a comp rig, the fixed timing will hurt when you need a high power reverse. Also, if you run them in a MOA, you will have issues with one motor being advanced and the other being retarded in timing.

Sooo.....still waiting for feedback from the OP......
