Default No power to motor?

Ok I will come right out and say it, I know next to nothing about electronics, have searched, can not find an answer.

I have a castle creations mamba micro pro,Holmes hobbies mini torque master 22 turn motor, ccbec wired so that it powers my rx and then my servo, plan on switching it so it powers just servo but thats coming.

My problem is that every once in a while it will stop turning the motor. The lights on the esc change color like normal but the motor don't spin,if I wiggle the tires back and forth with the radio sometimes it works, sometimes not till I spin the wheels a little by hand. I have looked at all the wiring and see no nicks or cuts.

I was having a similar problem with my 55T venom crawler motor. it needed new brushes. My bet is you ran it in water, that wasnt clean and its now dirty. personal favorite to clean them out is intake cleaner. Just dont forget to re oil the bearings after. if that doesnt work for you, you will have to replace the brushes which isnt hard.

No, I never took it in the water, but I did get it second hand,it looked well cared for though.

What kind of brushes do I need?

How do i tell if that is the problem?

if you have a volt meeter you can test the power to the motor. usually studering means bad comunication between the power wires and the rotor, aka the brushes. Try cleaning it first. then let me know.
