2 Cell Li-Po 7.4v 1800mAh

Hi Guy's...

Sorry if this has been asked before...:oops:

Just got 2 Li-Po's today in the Post...

Never used 2 cell before ( only 3cell on my R/C Gliders )

They both arrived with 7.8 volts and 3.90v in each cell...

Got them on a balance charge now,before I use them...

Still waiting on a Li-Po low Voltage alarm...

But untill that arrives .. what is the safety point ( lowest voltage)
I can run them too... ESC does not have a cut off...

the absolute lowest safe voltage is 3.0v per cell, but i wouldnt run lower than about 6.5v for a 2cell pack. you should notice a drop in performance and at that time you should quit w/o a cut off

when your esc does come..I program mine to 3.1 or 3.2V per cell.....just incase.

Using a Viper ECO 20 thats why I'm getting a
Li-Po Low Voltage Alarm, you plug it into the balance plug on your Li-Po

im not fimilar with that one, is it adjustable? most of them come set to cutoff at 3.0v per cell or 6v. the ones that go by each cell are better incase the cells are slightly out of balance so one is above 3 but the other may be below 3 and could end up damaged if it goes to low

Agree with benoj, if your cells aren't ballanced you could take one down past 3V per cell...typicaly, thats bad

this might be a good esc for rcs like it says, but for crawling...prob not, bec of 1.2A, no drag brake..with a BEC it might be great for rally racing. I wouldn't toss it. When funds allow, I would upgrade...keep this one, does seem like a decent back up.

Doesn't look like it could handle Li-Po's.....

ESC doesn't care the chemisty of the battery, it only cares the voltage.
