Are you sure the ESC connector is plugged into the Rx in the proper direction? Is the radio properly calibrated to the ESC?

Did you calibrate the ESC to the radio???
Very common problem.

What ESC?
What radio did you have?
What rig?

PS, I believe you mean "receiver", not "resever"....... just saying......

If you bought a 4 channel Spektrum radio then I think you got ripped off since there is no such radio...

Have you tried putting power directly to the motor? Just tape a 2-3 AA batteries together and touch the motor wires to the + and - on your makeshift battery. If it spins you know it is ok.

Are there any lights on the ESC doing anything as you try to go?

Are you sure you have calibrated the rx/tx to the esc?

I think that it is not getting a good signal but then it should as your servo works. The fact that your servo works is a sign that your ESC is connected properly as it is powering the RX and servo.

Something is fishy, check out your manual and see what it says under troubleshooting for the blinking that you are seeing.

Have you checked that the motor runs off battery power like I suggested?

It sounds like the ESC is not calibrated , my scx10 did the same when I first got it. It took me 3 trys to get it calibrated.

OK, you say you've calibrated the ESC, then you say you didn't. I will assume it's not calibrated.

Here is a Castle ESC FAQ.... Castle Creations | FAQ: 1/10th Scale Products it will help with troubleshooting the LED's.

When you calibrate ANY ESC:

1-TX throttle trim to "0" (including subtrims if you have them)
2-TX throttle EPA's (if you have them) to 100%
Castle ESC's are next......others may have a button on the ESC to press
3-Turn on TX and hold full throttle
4-Power up ESC
5-Wait for Chime
6-Hold full brake
7-Wait for chime

You're done.
If this does NOT work but you did steps 1 & 2, try reversing the throttle channel in the TX and do steps 3-7 again.

Let us know.
