Default CC Mamba Max Pro?

What is the difference between the first two ESC's? I know alot of people are using these setups on theyre Wraiths but I want to know which exact one it is.

Castle Creations 1/10 Mamba Max Pro ESC Smart Sense
Castle Creations Mamba Max Pro ESC/4600 Motor Combo 1/10

from reading the description, the smart sense one controls sensored motors in it's own way

"SmartSense uses the motor sensors to start the motor and then it switches over to Castle’s ultra powerful and efficient dynamic sensorless mode which boosts motor efficiency. Simply put, you’ll get more power and less heat from your motor."

I've honestly never bought either; so far Sidewinders have fulfilled my demands. But there's a good chance that the one that comes in the combo is the same ESC, maybe someone else that's purchased a combo recently can chime in and confirm or correct me on that

Same ESC. You don't want the combo, you want the ESC and a sensored motor.

Why does one have smart sense? Or does it not just indicate smart sense on the combo?
I also thought that the motor was sensored. I was just going to buy the combo and use my velinion motor to bash and the cc motor to comp.
Thanks for the warning.

That CC motor is not comp worthy, it will act the same as that Velinion motor. Don't waste your money on the combo.

forget the motor. Good esc, very programable and dynamic. You can run brushed or brushless. up to 6s

It's the same ESC. Smart sense doesn't apply to sensorless, so no need to advertise it for the combo. Smart sense runs a sensored motor sensorless at high rpm (that you set via castlelink) for more speed and efficacy, while maintaining smooth startup.

While this is up:

I have a Tekin Pro4 3300KV with a MM Pro with 2s and 3s 4000mah 40 c packs, geared 11/54, with underdrive gears front and rear. I am looking for more crawlibility. I have startup power on low, and made the throttle exponential, and set the motor timing to *10 via the ESC, but I'm not really sure what I'm doing with this programmable ESC stuff.

The top end is fine, it's just not as buttery smooth and slow on the low end. I'm used to 35-55 turn brushed motors so the brushless really seems to lack precise low speed throttle control.

Non-sensored BL does that down low....thus why multiple people state, "Sensored BL for crawling.....".

I'm a brushed guy, thus can only pass on what I do or what I read.

The Tekin Pro4 is sensored, not sensorless. You're on a roll.
