No need to. Sometimes you can calibrate both at once, sometimes one at a time, but either can be done after "compacting".

You still need to calibrate them separate

Depending on your radio system, if throttle channel isnt in normal mode (IE not reversed) then you will not be able to calibrate. Or so I have sometimes found...

| Re: CC Micro Sidewinder Futaba is one of those systems.......not a big deal. Once the TX is "reversed" on throttle (if needed to get the LED's to work correctly), then either reverse the ESC or swap the motor leads to get correct motor rotation (for brushed motors).

did you program them for brushed motors? from factory they are set to brushless. are you performing the calibration correctly? you should hold full forward throttle then turn the sidewinder on and it should flash green and once it turns red do full reverse and then it turns amber you should let go of the throttle trigger for neutral.

Also make sure the EPA's on throttle are 100% and throttle trim is "0". | |
