They are set to auto lipo but only 3v per cell. Likely your battery is out of balance and while it is 3v per cell when measured at the battery connector if you measured each cell one or more would be under.

Bump the LVC voltage up to 3.2-3.3 volts per cell and always balance charge them.

Pick up a Castle LInk, and you will be able to easily do both.

Castle Creations Castle Link USB Interface Adapter (same as HPI #100573) #010-0005-00*-*Speed Controllers and accessories*-*-Electronics*-*The Crawlers Store LLC

Something funny is going on. My AE-2 with the auto lipo cut-off usually discharges into the 3.2-3.3 range, never had a problem charging afterwards. If you have a multimeter check the voltage of the pack that way.

Are you balance charging?
What exactly is the error message?
What charger?

I've had times where the pack was OK, but a cell was really low or the balance wire was broken. If you are balance charging, unplug the balance board and try just charging on LiPO.
Do a balance charge later.

PS, are you going to the Dez comp Sunday? I will have a Castle Link if you need to try it.

Sounds like your charger may be crapping out. I just had a similar issue with a Novak charger that I use for my Nimh packs, it wouldn't even charge some brand new packs I got. I had to get another charger.

When you get your battery straightened out and get a programmer set your LVC manually for the packs you're going to run. I have mine set at 6.8 on my two AE-2's. Auto lipo doesn't work for crap on those ESC's. Not sure why because on my Sidewinders it's very reliable.

I just ran an 800 and a 1600 miliamp 2s through my ae-2 and it shut the voltage off at 6.4 volts to both and they charge up perfect. Its a good possibility that its the charger your using is going out
