Would this be a good 3 radio that I may want to use for front dig and get no glitches from? Thanks. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...I=LXGAG2**&P=0 |

For me its a complicated radio. I like the 3pdf better, its easier to program. I think someone has/had one (3pm) for sale in the for sale section for pretty cheap.

Who makes the 3PDF? Futaba?

The 3pdf is discontinued (made by Futaba). The 3pm is a great remote. I have one and love it.

What about the JR XRs- the synthezised one or a Spectrum DX3? Futaba has a synthezised one of that same one, and theres always the Hitec CRX/SRX. I've got an older Hitec Lynx 3D that I'm working to try and program 4WS on my Clod @ the moment...hoping it turns out the way I want. |

I do have both radios, and even thought the pm is nicer and newer, I still prefer the pdf. They also have different variations of the pdf. racer, spdf (or pdfs?) and I think some others? I have been keeping an eye out for deals on the Spektrum systems and also the Nomaido system. The only hard thing is to get as many receivers as I have now for my Futaba radios. In time I will make the switch. | |

X2 on the R-1. It'll do anything you could want. Watch out for the newer JR's, the i series (XR3i and XS3) only has a 2-position setting for the 3rd channel, unlike the old XR3. The old XR3 would work fine for rear steer or a 3-speed.
