Default Brand New Pro4, Missing Wires?

So my pro4 arrived for my Wraith today, and as you can imagine, I'm pretty excited about it. At least I was, until I opened the box. I received a motor, and a sensor cable, and that's it. There are no power leads at all in there, and Tower didn't mention it in the what's required section, so obviously I didn't order wire and bullet connectors. I would think it was a simple mistake, but I'm really not sure.

Well, at least now I know. And yeah, that grinds my damn gears pretty good on a $150 motor. I've bought $10 motors for aircraft I knew would be stuffed in the ground, and guess what, they came with power leads and bullet connectors. Thanks for the quick reply.

In racing it's pretty common to just solder the esc wires directly to the motor. I don't use connectors between the motor and esc on any of my junk.

For those that wish to do that, that's fine, but I like the bullets on my stuff. I have bullet connectors and wire here (luckily as there is no LHS), but that's not the point. It's the principle of not including it with a $150 motor, and I think it's poor form on Tekin's part to not include $2 worth of stuff to get your new motor up and running. Sadly, that's become the norm these days, and not just with RC either. Way pay more, and get less, and we just accept it.

I don't put $2 wires on my $150 motor.

A good reason not to ship the motor with wires is that the typical customer will want to use some other type/dimension of cable/connector anyway.
The manufacturer is more likely to not get it "right" than to deliver what the customer prefer.

Tekin only supplies the wire in the motor ESC kit's.

You guys will get a laugh out of this;

I got my pro4 / MMP all wired up late last night, along with a new CC BEC (left my old one soldered to my HH BR-XL) and put in a fresh pack to test it. I noticed my steering servo seemed weak for some reason. DOH! I forgot to set the bec voltage, so yep, had to cut the wires.

Also, after running a full pack through the pro4 today, what was I bitching about agian? This thing is a BEAST!!

Why did you have to cut the wires?

Huh, I'll try the battery trick next time. I had read a thread on here that said when you hook it to the PC via the castle link the it's seeing both BEC's once you wire them together, and I was definitely getting power to both. I ran the first 3s pack through it today, WOW!

on mine I desoldered the bullet conectors off the MMP, and sodered right to the motor. one good thing about censored motors. just don't cut the wires from the esc, plug the stock motor wires into the esc that came with the motor sorry for the miss spelling

if any of it helps out
