Default who makes the traxxas esc?

im wondering if traxxas makes their own units or not, ive got a 1/16 ken block traxxas car and a buddy of mine just grabbed a savage i believe and says his esc is made by castle, which means he can tune it with his laptop, so im wondering if mines a traxxas unit or if they get an outside company to make them, thanks

I'm pretty sure it's a traxxas unit. and you can't program anything outside the LVD, and the racing, sport and training mode. there isn't any software for the tuning of the esc with a computer

If his ESC is a castle unit he is not running a stock ESC. The stocker is non programmable.

The car in question is a 1/16 rally. That does not come with castle gear.

Rigs such as the e revo, maybe the brushless emaxx and the traxxas drag car come with castle hardware.

Therefore correct.

Not getting into it. Read the thread. Castle is in the Savage as op stated. You stated otherwise, i corrected you. That is all.

Yup, the savage has as CC setup as does many other rigs, Axial being one. I may be crazy but the OP did say he runs a traxxas 1/16 rally while his buddy has the savage.

As for the original question. Yes, somebody else makes them for traxxas Im pretty sure its not CC, unless its in one of the bigger rigs. It would be cool if traxxas did say who makes their ESCs. Everything is out sourced these days. As far as I could tell my old XL5 didnt have any marking except part numbers and I was too lazy to look up the data sheets.
