| Programming HW1080wp ESC- Two quick questions
I've read the manual and searched around.. no luck. First question: My HW1080 is in a tight spot in my Capra against the rear firewall.. no biggie but what I'm wondering is- After I program it, can I just leave the JR programming cable plugged into the ESC? I want to leave it plugged in so that I'm able to make adjustments/ calibrations to the ESC settings after it's up and running... without having to remove a side panel and trying to get my fat fingers up in there to plug/ unplug the cable each time. If I'm able to leave it plugged in then I'd just run the cable out of the rig somewhere to be able to easily/ quickly reconnect/ disconnect the programming card. Second question: Which port on the program card do I need to plug the cable into to program the ESC? One is just +/-. The other is +/- plus whatever "n" looking symbol. Thank you guys... I know it's a dumb couple of questions but I'd rather ask than damage anything. |

You can leave the wire connected. And you plug the harness into the card with the 3 prongs.

Thank you, Goro. Seems you're always helping me out of a jam lol. Looking now... Both ports on the programming card have three prongs. But looking at a couple youtube vids seems people are plugging the cable into the one with three symbols +/-/n Appreciate the help, bud. Good now. Thanks so much |

I left mine plugged in, and added an extension so it terminated in the radio box/fuel cell. To make adjustments, I just took off the top of the radio box, and there it was. Worked like a charm!

| Re: Programming HW1080wp ESC- Two quick questions I do the same thing with my Capra. If I had to take the cage off just to do a quick tweak to the ESC, then the ESC wouldn't get many tweaks! |

That is a great tip. I think that's where I'll run it. I can access the esc with the pass side panel removed... only 4 screws but man it's tight in there and my fingertips are just a liability when messing with pin connectors lol. |
