Not familiar with that one myself. I don't know if it has good setup options such as drag brake, reverse types and such. That is probably one of the only factory waterproofed ESCs that is brushless. Only other one I know of is the Traxxas VXL, but it does not offer drag brake. It's not an ideal setup for crawling as it will just freewheel downwhills or decents. My suggestion would be to pick up a Castle Creations Mamba Max Pro (MMP). They are among the most popular ESCs for crawlers, especially brushless. It is NOT waterproof. Send it to Holmes Hobbies. Holmes Hobbies / Holmes Bikes He can waterproof it for you. It costs $10. done deal. You'll have a top notch ESC that can be programed to the hilt and it can do brushed, brushless, sensored, sensorless. Just about anything but walk your dog. BTW, if you want to run a sensored brushless motor in water/mud you'll have to waterproof the sensor board as well. Holmes may do this for you too, but it's not hard to do yourself. See the waterproofing thread for more info. Good luck Last edited by hibbs; 01-08-2013 at 11:04 AM. |

I just ordered one of these, thought I'd try it out since I don't see much on here about it.

For crawling I want to say no. For general bashing about, itll probably do fine but keep an eye on the drive train as with any high powered motor. Sensorless is not going to do well for crawling. Sensored will be much better but probably still not ideal Brushed is smoothest. |
