Question FXR vs Sidewinder micro in xr10 differences?

So I recently made the change from fxr's to the micro sidewinder and was wondering if anyone else noticed a power loss?

I don't have as much torque or wheel speed and can actually stall the motor in a bind. I never could stall a motor with fxrs before. Is this normal?

Upside is I have a much better drag brake and smoother start up. Should I look into more powerful motors to fix the torque/wheelspeed issue?

Let me know what you gus think...

I've run both in my XR-10 with decent 35T motors on 3S (dual ESC's in both cases). I can't say I saw a power difference between the 2 ESC's, but I did notice some of what you saw.

Smoother start-up with the SM's and better drag brake.

I would double check your ESC to motor & ESC to battery connections and make sure you don't have a cold joint.

I have checked all joints and there good!!! The best way to discribe it is like I went down in volts. I can actually stall out a motor in a bind now where as I could never do that before with the fxr's. The only difference between the 2 setups that I have done is use a different make wire but same gauge. I beleive the wire I am using with sm is better then the wire I used for the fxrs.

I have another guy in my club that did the switch as well and he is reporting the same thing.
