Glitching question

Ok im running a castle sw, holmes 35t, hitec 645 , and dx3e on 3s on my daughters rig and every time i turn right it goes nuts...everything is normal unless u turn right???? Anyone ever had this issue?

Try a different servo

Re: Glitching question

Make sure the steering EPA is set correctly, if you bind the servo (steering is maxed out, but servo is still pushing)) you will mess with the radio and likely brown it out.

Hit the nail on the the head! I thought i had it adjusted but barely dialed it back and all is good!!! Thanks. Its amazing the stuff u forget to check when you are frustrated.

Well i thought that fixed it. It did not. Could it be the 3s on the sidewinder? I have a extra cc bec , but i didnt think i needed it with the 645...am i missing something?

Re: Glitching question

I'd put a bec on and see if anything changes, as you said I would'nt think you'd need one for that servo but hey if it works.

Re: Glitching question

You need an external bec. The 3s is too much voltage to the servo.

Ahhh i see. I will stick a 2s on it to see if that cures it. Thanks chicklet:thumbup:

Re: Glitching question

No prob, yes-you-need-external-bec. Plenty of info in the stickies covering why you need an external bec.

TNCrawler 03-04-2013 06:20 PM

Yeah i run em on all my rigs. Just didnt think i needed on on this rig. I will wire it up.

TNCrawler 03-04-2013 06:39 PM

Now question? Should i hook the bec up through the reviever or power the servo directly?

Re: Glitching question

You need to power the servo directly from the BEC.
Here is a nice article on making a bypass cable.

10-4

Only reason to power a servo directly from an external bec is if it's required to have a different voltage than the rx. Otherwise make it easy on yourself, pull the red wire and plug into the rx.

TNCrawler 03-04-2013 07:27 PM

Just got it wired up for servo direct...oh well

Meatwad 03-04-2013 07:29 PM

Still works that way too "thumbsup"

TNCrawler 03-04-2013 08:28 PM

Well hooked up the bec and s9157 futaba and all i can say is....bingo! It turns like a boss now and is much smoother. Thanks for all the help guys!!
