|  Plugged in batt. + to + and - to - on brand new Axial Trophy Truck?!
So I plugged in the battery not noticing that I had the adapter upside down and the power switch on. It was only for a second or two and realized what I did. Wires got hot and now worried that I've fried the ESC on a brand new rig. What ya think? Reversed adapter and pigged in correctly and ESC seeemed to work properly but just wondering if I've damaged it? Any thoughts? Help? Really bummed.

Did the magic smoke escape? Usually if you screw up bad the magic smoke leaks out. If it's working, I'd chalk this up as a learning experience. Last edited by Randy Williams; 12-25-2015 at 06:26 AM. |

If it works fine...then it's not damaged? Only time will tell really. Run it until it breaks. |

Time will tell. Reverse polarity runs straight through the body diodes and can harm components. But of it still runs you caught it quick.
