SV3 not working

hey, just got my Sidewinder SV3 in the mail and plugged it up to my brushed motor and it wont work. it shakes and then stops every time i pull the trigger. i checked my wiring with the one supplied in the manual and it was fine i also calibrated it several times. do i have to change any settings out of the box to run brushed? could i have gotten a defective esc?

By all means check the settings before use. I cannot remember for sure, but I seem to recall that mine came from the factory set to run brushless. Jerry

+1....factory is set to brushless.

If you don't have a Castle Link to program, you can use this... http://www.castlecreations.com/suppo...s_ed_guide.pdf pages 24 & 30.

ok cool, i figured it was set up for brushless, i just wasnt sure if it would auto swap to brushed mode since it was right from the box and i didnt see anything about changing to brushed mode
