Default DX-6 help!!

Hey i just got a DX-6 and it's giving me fits! Everytime i stop and let it sit for a few it shuts down, i shut off the radio and turn it back on and it works for a while and shuts down again!

Info: 2 Tekin Rebel 2's, 2 5955 servos, 6 cell 3800 pack for the TR2's, and a 2700 receiver pack.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Define "it".

Are you losing TX power or is the truck itself going dead?

I've never experienced this problem, and I routinely let my trucks sit while bullchittin'.

The truck dies, servos still buzz but no response?

I watched it roll down a cliff because of this!

stumps me! I have never had such an event occur. So when you "reboot" the TX it works again for a bit?

Default this is what i did

i dunno if this is what your problem is but this was mine, first off change those crappy batteries, i used duracell 2650 aa's i soldered 8 cells together, then added another pigtail power plug. i think airplanes and helis only run for short periods of time (throttle always on). 700mah batteries just dont cut it when your trailin, maybe for comps though. next i re-binded the receiver at zero throttle in case battery in tx dies it doesn't think it's a plane and goes flying off a cliff(fail safe is set from the factory to run motor-in case of tx power down). good luck

try disabling the failsafe, it may be that you are getting a touch of interference and the failsafe is kicking out until it is the clearest signal. sounds like throttle is cutting out but the steering is in tact.

It stops the steering and the throttles, but u can hear the servos buzzing like they have power. I turn the radio off and then back on and it works... for a while.

How do i disable the failsafe?

Turn'm off and try again.

You're using a RX pack...no need to use the BEC circuits on both TR2s.

Or, ditch the rx pack and turn on only ONE TR2.

Fixed it w/ Spectrum part # SPM 1600, Voltage Protector.

It was a voltage drop issue!

Patrick, that's what mine would do, the servos would buzz and everything was non-responsive, added that capacitor to protect from the voltage drop and never had a problem since.
