I think that motor would be ok with a gd600 gear reduction and running on 7 or 8 cells it should do anything you want it to.Just watch the temps real close you will have to mess with your gearing to get it perfect.

Check out My new Twin chassis and brushless turbo diesel

A twin with BL, I'm sure Raptorman57 will be able to help.

The setup wouldnt have enough reduction for that smaller diameter motor. You are looking at an $80 + motor to push those tires around at a "normal" reduction and groundspeed. I wouldnt give a $26 motor much of a lifespan or efficiency rating either. As Dez once said to me "No such thing as a free lunch"

Example: http://www.hobby-lobby.com/brushless-axi2820.htm

YOu won't need a GD. Outrunners spin plenty slow and have enough torque without the extra reduction.

Depends on the working voltage you want to use. I would get either the 8 turn or the 10 turn.

I've heard alot of good things on the AXI motors, but never run one. The last brushless motor I ran was an MPJet 28/20-7. I was running a 3.0 GD600,16t pinion and a 53t spur,I believe my final ration was somewhere around 70,75:1. I don't know if I got a bad one or the quality just isn't there. The thing had AWESOME power....until the arm started falling apart and one of the wires broke. Right now I'm back to a gimpy brushed motor but am trying to decide between the Axi motors or these....

HYPERION Z30 Series

yeah but one other thing i figure is that then i can prolong learning how to solder, but in doing some more figuring, its gonna cost me quite a bit not learning to solder!

Yes, the larger the stator diameter and length the greater the torque. I will be carrying various lengths of this motor within the next few weeks. I order the first batch tommorow.

As an added bonus I will offer each motor with a 3.17mm shaft for a $7 upgrade. Otherwise they have 5mm shaft diameters.

Do you have a price on these yet? I am assuming that they should work with a mamba 25 esc?

Thanks

That depends on the model and vehicle. In a tlt just about any will work with a mamba 25. In a super rig the 30-13 and above will want a larger esc like the mamba maxx.

As far as price, it again depends on the motor size. The 30-07 retails around $67. Add in $7 for turning down the shaft and that is your price. Each step up in size is about $5 I think.

I am currently testing the smaller motor sizes to see where they fall and how much punishment they will take. I see no reason why a tlt could not use the 30-07. A super rig shafty would want a 30-19 in the heat of the summer. A Clod would run well on the 30-13's. This is all just a guesstimate from my experience though, until actual testing occurs it is hard to say which is best for each application.
