Default Calling All 3Racing LED system owners, Compatibility List Good Bad and Ugly!!

Hello All 3 Racing LED system owners or people who know about them,

In an effort to help myself along with many others.
I am starting this thread to determine which remotes actualy work with the 3racing LED system kit.

I am having issues and I know many others are having issues with 3 racing LED system not working with there remotes.

Please help contribute info to the list if you have a 3racing LED kit.
But most importantly what remotes are compatible with the 3 racing LED system

"3racing" site states this

"This system is only effected by the transmitter. It is suitable for the transmitter which band width between 5 to 20 ms."

Here is what I know so far!!!>.....

Does work!!!

Futaba Attack 4 channel
Futaba T2PH 2 channel
Spektrum DX7 Special Edition (11 ms)
Spektrum DX3r (4 to 9 ms)
Spektrum DX3.0
Spektrum DX3s

Does NOT work!!

Mc12 graupner
Mx12 graupner
Spektrum DX6 (22 ms)
Spektrum DX6i (22 ms)
Spektrum DX7 (regular)

Please help me compile a list of working and non working setups with the 3 Racing LED system.

I know it will help many people out.

even people who just search google.!!

thanks all!

Brian

The DX3.0 may work because I hear that the Dx3r works.

dx6= 22ms
dx7 se =11ms

dx3r 4 to 9 ms

"3racing" site states this

"This system is only effected by the transmitter. It is suitable for the transmitter which band width between 5 to 20 ms."

NEED MORE PEOPLE'S INPUT!! PLEASE

Good idea with the thread.

See post #2 here. This is a DX3.0, and he's saying that in 'Normal' mode the framerate is 18ms, and in 'Fast' mode it is 13ms. Either would work.

See post #141 here. This references a DX3.0 and DX3S, stating:

DX3.0 Normal Mode- 19ms
DX3.0 Fast Mode- 12.67 ms
DX3S- 11 ms

All of these would then work, if this is correct.

everything.

sometimes you see the head lights pop on or the brake lights.

but when i try with my 2 channel it works perfect!

i know it is not compatible with the DX6.

RC4wd makes a set I am going to buy and try that and if it still doesnt work I may have to get the DX7 SE

Hello all,

well my Spektrum DX7 SE came in today and I charged it up and tried it out.

No LUCK!!!
I am still not having any luck getting my Blinkers, brake Lights and reverse lights to work.
I am using the right stick for FWD and REV and L and R.
which is what the manual says has the 11ms frame rate.

What the heck!!
I am getting upset here.

The spektrum DX7 SE just comes with the remote not the receiver.

I am using my BR6000 and I think that maybe the issue.
I would like to here someone else's input that may know more about this.

here is what I am thinking but I am hesitant because it will cost me more money.
Maybe i need the 7 channel receiver. check it....

in the manual here are some information that I found.

"While transmitters typically operate using a 22-millisecond frame rate, the DX7se utilizes an 11-millisecond frame rate on the primary control channels (aileron, elevator and pitch in helicopter mode) significantly reducing system latency and dramatically improving the response rate. in addition, the DX7se features 2048 resolution with 2x oversampling on all channels for the ultimate in servo accuracy."

ok so in that statement they say that the DX7se
operates @ 11ms frame rate (reducing latency)

also that it features 2048 resolution (for best accuracy)

then I read this

"While the DX7se is compatible with all Spektrum and JR DSM2 receivers, only receivers that are capable of 2048 resolution offer the greatest improvements in response rate and accuracy."

"All spektrum DSM2 receivers are compatible with the DX7se, however, 1024 resolutions receivers (like the AR7000 and AR6100) operate at 1024 resolution and don't take full advantage of the improved latency and accuracy of the DX7se."

So does all this mean that ok yes, i am using a Spektrum DX7se that can do all that above, but since I am using a receiver that is not capable of 2048 resolution, I am not getting the 11ms frame rate and the 2048 resolution?
maybe I am getting 22ms and 1024 resolution.

I am not sure?
the remote says right on it 11ms on the LCD panel, so you think that is what I would be getting..

what do you think about this?

remember the 3racing LED kit says it works with transmitters which band width operates between 5-20ms.

Maybe thats my problem.
the spektrum talks about 11ms frame rate not band width..

how can I find out what the bandwidth is for the DX7se and DX6?

what do those people at 3racing mean by there original statement about the band width.
AHHHH
frustrated......

so does this mean that I have to buy the AR7000 7-channel receiver??
in order to use the 2048 and 11ms properly?

not sure..?

any help or input would be appretiated.

thanks

I NEED IT

just found this, so maybe I do have to upgrade my receiver as well.???

AR6x00 and AR7000 are 1024 resolution and only support 22ms frame rate. The AR7100 series and the 9 and 12 ch Rxes are 2048 resolution capable (with DX7SE, X9303 and 12X) and are 11ms frame rate capable (DX7SE only).

OK so it took me some time, but I saved up and bought the Spektrum DX7 Special Edition ($315) and the AR7100 (got on ebay open box for $50 bucks!! costs $150 new!!. The Auction ended 4th of july and maybe no one was bidding then haha?)

just hooked it all up and it works great!
so if you want to use any of these light systems make sure they work with your remotes before you buy.
or you will end up making it your life's goal to get them damn things to work haha.

so now I can finish this thing.

but here is a video of it working.
