| Brushless MOA
So I'm building a new Bully 2 crawler and am trying to figure out if there's any fundamental reason I couldn't do a double sensored brushless setup. I remember trying it on my super class clod-based crawler using 2 Novak Goats and it didn't work because the cans were too long and interfered with the links, but in theory I could solve that problem by going with Holmes Revolver S Stubby motors running off separate Mamba Max Pros. Other than the wiring mess, is there any reason not to do this? Pricing is really not that much more than the brushed alternative... Has anyone tried this?

Just have a try, and believe you can make it. Good Luck. |

Drag brake is an issue with brushless. And I am not sure the gears would hold up to brushless power.

If you need smaller motors, go ahead! If you can use the typical 540 size motor I'd say brushed motors behave better at very low speed. |

Not to put words in his mouth, but I thought I read as recently as I think November of last year that Jon Holmes prefers to run his revolver sensored brushless motors over brushed. I've been running a Novak Goat in my AX10 and have no problem with its drag brake. Either way, at this point I'm pretty comfortable that the performance should be OK, I guess it's just a question as to whether logistically it won't fit or there is some other reason I couldn't use it. Also, if someone has already done it, I would love to hear their experience with it. |
