BEC query

Hi all.

If you have a Bec that say has an output of 6.0v the max for your servos If this bec is the supply to your esc your motors are 7.2v are they only going to receive 6.0v and be under powered?

Re: BEC query

If it is hooked up correctly, your BEC should handle only the accessories, servo and provide power to the RX. The ESC has a separate system on the mother board for the motor.

If you plug in a 3S Lipo (11.1v), 11.1v will go to the motor and then the BEC will cut down that power and distribute it to a servo or lights that you have set your voltage value to. It's other name is a switch regulator and, in a way, can be related to a transformer.
