tekin roc 412 3100kv

Hey guys just wondering if these motors have issues with rotors wearing out fast on 4s? It was brand new fully sealed from any water or dirt and it broke a magnet off the rotor with in 10 packs of use. Also killed the mmp esc. Not to happy as this is the second motor that has done this the first one lasted a long time but not this time.

I was geared 87/14 48 pitch so 6.21 which is not bad is it?

I wont buy another tekin again I replaced the rotor in the last motor but cant even use it now since my esc is dead now to.

I suppose you read my comment in the other thread.
4S is "emergency power" for these motors. Apply it only for a few seconds or so to recover from a roll-over or to get extra speed for a short slippery climb.
Then keep it at less than half the voltage most of the time and it should be fine.
You do use it for a Crawler don't you, not a racer?

Yes I have read all your posts my motor always ran at a good luke warm temp I dont race it maybe the odd short run but nothing full throttle for a pack. If tekin says 4s it should handle 4s I was just at my local hobby shop where I bought these motors from and he will call his supplier to see what he can do. Obviously tekin has had issues with this as they now say 3s not 4s sure 4s will work as you claim but it cant handle 4s like it was implied on there site. So this is my reason im making a deal about this. And now my esc is dead because of this. Im not saying tekin is junk at all I have the fxr in another truck and I love it on 4s works awesome. But not the case this time
