Default Mamba Max Pro dead?

I was running my wraith in about 15 minute intervals today while I tweaked the suspension a bit. It is set up with the MMP, Hitec 7954 with BEC, Tekin 13.5t sensored brushless motor, metal trans gears, MIP driveshafts, HD gears, HR spools, etc. Motor temps never reached more than 105. The last interval I was driving it around my house and hit lipo cut. So I charge the battery and put it back in after it was fully charged. The MMP won't do anything at all. I plugged it in to my castle link and get nothing there as well. There was never any smoke or sparks or signs of failure. Just lipo cut and then it never came back. The castle link does not change light colors or act like anything is connected. Sounds like the 2 week old MMP is toast to me. Ideas?

is your on/off switch possibly broken? Thats common for castle ESC's.

Did the bec run the rx or just the servo? If just the servo try running the rx with bec.

I've eliminated the switch so it powers on with battery connection.

BEC runs the rx, lights and servo. When I plug in the battery the lights, rx and servo work perfectly.

I wonder if it has a loose battery connector or a bad solder on one of the MMP power wires and you didn't hit LVC but it was a bad connection causing intermittent power going to the MMP?

Did you remove the red power wire from the receiver when powering the receiver with your external bec?

Do any of the LEDs on the MMPro light up when powered on? Mine did the "blinking red light of death" when it croaked.

Hopefully you didn't waterproof it and can get Castle to warranty it.

Will they not warranty it if you use something like conformal coating on it?

Castle is great at standing behind their product but if you put anything including conformal coating on it warranty void, I believe just opening the thing voids the warranty.
I too was wondering if you forgot to unplug the red esc wire when installing the bec?

Does anything light up when you plug in a batt?

If not. Try using a different BEC/receiver pack.

Power wires are good. The connections are 100% solid.

I have used many BECs in my crawlers so I am very familiar with them. I pulled the power wire from the MMP before ever connecting to the rx.

I get no lights at all when connecting to either the castle link or a battery. I am not sure if I hit lipo cut or the ESC just died when I was running it. The battery was at 9.782 volts when I plugged it in to recharge and it took 3357mah on a 3300mah battery so I assumed I hit lipo cut but it could have very well been the MMP dying.

Red wire was pulled. It has not been waterproofed and has not been run in any kind of moisture.

No lights from the MMP at all when connected to a fully charged battery or when connected to the castle link. All of my lights, rx and servo work fine from the BEC power.

Counting this one as a fluke failure. My hobby shop is awesome and is taking care of me as expected. I'll have a new MMP next week.
