Default Pairing (Binding) Axial AX-3

I just bought an extra Axial AX-3 with receiver. It is new and was pulled from an RTR truck. It came with a pairing or binding plug. Do I need to pair these two and where do I plug it into? I found something online that said I was supposed to and to plug the pairing plug into the receiver battery plug. Any help would be nice. Thank you.

they should already be paired. but if you wanted to use your spare rx with your existing tx you would have to pair the 2nd rx (receiver) to the new tx (transmitter)

Just in case you do need to bind, the instructions are located here:
