Default Changing brushless motor kv

I got a heck of a deal on a castle 5700kv 4 pole motor. Would you be able to change out anything to make it useful for a trail rig or just find another lower kv motor. Also what application would be good for a high kv motor like this

If it's just a trail rig and not a crawler couldn't you volt up and gear down?
I'm not sure if that would make it an ideal setup, but if you plan to use that motor that's a start.

Thanks for some ideas. It might just get saved back for a future project. I found a broken horizon hobby exc truck at a garage sale for 10.00 crashed and broken . The guy had a bag of parts and in it was the receipt for the castle system from this spring. I trashed the truck and pulled the castle system from it. It looks like brand new not a scratch or mark on it and bench tested fine..
So a 10.00 castle system about 6-7 months old.

That motor will work in pretty much any 1/10th scale car except a 4wd SCT.

It's not even our fastest 1/10 motor, we also make a 6900kv and a 7700kv.

I would just sell it and put that money towards another motor.

What would you recommend for a 4WD SCT? Lets say it's a Yeti Score TT for bashing. I was browsing your website and the number of options that come up are kind of overwhelming.

Thanks

I personally would run the 1512 2650kv motor on 3s or 4s. It's technically a 1/8th scale motor, but because of that it will run cooler and have more torque than any of the 1/10th scale motors. I think you have to trim a tiny bit off the battery tray for clearance, but not very much.

I know there are several people that run the Castle 1410 3800kv motor and have good results with it as well.
