| Did I get two bad servos or am I stupid?
I'm doing a bunch of stuff to my TRX-4, including replacing the diff lock servo's with something that I thought would last longer than the pathetic stock ones. I ordered 2 bluebird micro servo's and neither one reacts at all when hooked up to the radio. If I plug the (stock) trans servo into channel 4 or 5 (the diff channels) it shifts the trans when i actuate the locker switch (as expected). Also, I can't turn either servo by hand, they feel completely seized. Did I just get unlucky and wait 3 weeks to receive 2 DOA servo's? |

Did you try plugging the new servos into a different channel, like steering?

No matters what micro servos you put on TRX4, they died quickly if your radio doesn’t have endpoint’s setting.( limit your endpoints ).

Sounds like it could be a broken gear or seized motor, try getting in contact with the seller, maybe they can help out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

They work without EPA adjustments if you place the pivot in the correct distance from centerline... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk | |

Unplug them and turn them, then plug them back in. Do they re-center themselves? Or are they un-turnable when unplugged too? If the later, it's possible they're bad. It's rare but if the pot was wired wrong, the servo spins one way and locks itself. If left that way it burns out fast. It's more likely you got 2 returned servos that weren't checked first. |

Might as well ask here... So is there a recommended way to go about making an adjustment to the stock servo horn ( epa) in order to hopefully eliminate the issue with burning up the gears in these servos? Maybe re-positioning the servo horn or shortening the throw going one direction or both? I'll be using the stock tx for now unfortunately. |
