| Best ESC for Dual Motors and 9.6V????
Ok, I have been trying to figure out for the life of me, looking through specs, looking through other posts, searching, etc. I can't find a really good answer, so here it goes. I want to run 9.6V input into a Speed Control, and Run TWO Motors, probably 27 Turn Modified Motors, or maybe 35T Lathe Motors, but nothing Hotter. I have been reading specs, and the motor problem seems taken care of, I figure I just need a 12T ESC like the IntelliSpeed 12T for Example. But What ESC can I find that will handle 9.6V Input????? I have a specific reason for this...... I was thinking of just running a EVX, but people have told me 19.2Volts will Fry it most likely. So that option is turning out to be a loss. Can someone give me some ideas? I am sure this is something the Clod guys would know most about. Btw, This is going into a 1/6th Scale CXT Monster, Basically a Mud Truck. |

Mud Truck...meaning you need water resistance. I would say the Mamba Max, you don't have to buy the whole max system just the esc. Some specs: http://www.castlecreations.com/products/mamba_max.html Last edited by SVEN; 02-07-2007 at 03:17 PM. |

Are you looking for one that handles 9.6 or 19.2? If you want to run 2 9.6 packs in series, you're probably out of luck, won't find much out there that will handle that. If you want to run 2 9.6 packs in parallel have a look here. Looking for a good, waterproof, no pause reverse ESC? The mtroniks RV Max will handle dual motors down to 13 turns, or any single motor. It takes 9.6 Volts, and best of all, is completely waterproof. |

The EVX can handle up to 14 cells... 16.8V... That's a lot of voltage for any ESC... But for 9.6V< the EVX will handle that no probs, obviously, even if the single pack mod has been done to it...

The mamba max is water resistant, and can be made waterproof very easily. It will handle those motors no problem, and brushless stuff too.

Ok, Mamba Max is out. $160, Sorry, way over budget, I was thinking $110 for a EVX was gonna be the highest I would consider, but it looks like the M.Tronics one or the EVX is the ticket, thanks guys.

The most I would pay for a MM is $140. You can find them many places for that price or less. I would say the EVX is a ripoff at $110 considering what it cant do compared to the MM.

Most all the 6-7 cell esc's will easily handle 8 cells.
