Mamba X Aux adj. isn't adjusting.

Sorry for a longer post, but I figure some background is good. I've dropped a support req on the Castle site overnight. But I thought I'd consult the group think too.

I recently finished the build of a new chassis (new old stock lit Yeti) and transferred the radio gear (Turnigy GT5 6CH), Mamba X and motor, to that new chassis from a previous model (a RTR Axial Yeti).

The Aux wire controls did work when installed on the previous model, with the same radio gear. I've been using it with the max power adjustment parameter.

Channels 5 and 6 on the Turnigy GT5 6CH are 0-100 rotary knobs. So they are perfect for using that Aux control, to damp down the max power when I hand it off to a kiddo driver.

All the Aux channels on my Tx/Rx combo work as expected when I use a servo as a test indicator.

And there is continuity down the wire from the Rx connector, to where it plugs into the ESC body when tested with a multi-meter

Is there any sort of test procedure I can run on the Mamba? I do have the Bluetooth Castle link unit and have the Aux function enabled in the current profile that's been uploaded to the ESC.

I've reset the 'map' in the app to default, uploaded that, then uploaded my custom again... but still no dice on the Aux adjustments.

It worked so well right out of the box on the RTR... I'm extra bummed that it's not working now that I moved the gear.

Thanks,

If you have a usb castle link, the datalogs will show the aux wire value so you can see what it says. Sometimes the firmware on the ESC gets messed up and updating the firmware to the same version will solve some issues like this.

You can update the firmware on iOS with the B-Link. We are working on getting it working on Android right now, but have been having trouble with part of the process. Datalogging will be coming in the App for both platforms hopefully early next year. We are still working out the best way to display the logs on such a small screen and have the display be useful.

I do not have the USB version of the link presently, just the BT dongle.

I am running the most recent firmware, 2.06. Just updated it from 2.02 the other day, after this problem cropped up hoping that might be a cure. Do you suggest rolling back to 2.02? OR Trying to update on 2.06 again?

Issue resolved. The logs were full up and somehow this resulted in the on-the-fly Aux adjustments not working. I had to buy a USB Castle Link :( to fix it as the BlueTooth app doesn't do logs yet.

But deleting the logs brought the Aux function back to normal operation.

Can you set the ESC to automatically delete the oldest logs as new logs are created?

Not sure why that would have done that. The might be a software bug we need to look into for the next release.

You can clear the logs by holding reverse for 10 seconds until it lets out a long beep when you turn on the ESC. Similar to the throttle calibration where you hold full throttle, but with full brake. I thought we had this listed in our manual, but I can't find it.

You can also set 'Automatic Data Reset' to 0% to clear the log every time the ESC is turned on or Set the 'Sample Frequency' to disabled to keep it from logging.

We have a 'Automatic Data Reset' function but it only clears the logs during the boot up process of the ESC. We don't have a way to clear the logs while the ESC is running.

Not sure either.

Some other symptoms of the bug were that no error beeps occurred. I'd disconnect the aux wire and sensor wire with the ESC on, and no fault beep codes would result during this fault state.
