Default burned up a 995 TG servo

this is crazy, I cannot find a SR esc which I want for my 2.2 locally, I do not like brushless motors so lets not go there.
the TR2 I had went to crap, so I figured, lets try out the XL5 esc I had off of my Pede.

well, the esc got hot and lived, but at the same time I got the magic smoke out of the servo, POOF!! gone.

The servo didn't burn up because of no end points either, I have a good radio.

what the hell happened?????, too low of an amp rate from the bec??

the servo was sluggish, and I was going to get a voltage regulator for that problem, looks like a little late for that right now.

who has a good answer for what happened?? Every Hyjunk servo I have ever purchased has failed.

Might have something to do with how you have your linkages set up. Doesn't matter how nice the servos are, if there is binding in the setup, there will be smoke. Do you happen to have any pictures of your setup?

no bindage at all, I run High Lift axles with no wideners and a BTA.

I am also running 7 cell 2/3a's and I know the higher the voltage the lower your amp rate will be out of a bec. I really think the servo heated up from not enough power and was working to hard trying to keep up.

I was just looking for a conformation on my theory one what happened.

I also run a hand wound/balanced 27 turn arm in a round can with a 8t pinion
on a R2 trans, this set up I was just trying out. So right there I knew the motor would be sucking up more power.

I also pluged in the power and tried the steering agin, I have throw to the left, but not the right, so the servo is half dead and in a coma.

I ran the XL-5 for some time with 995 for the front and a Traxxas servo for my Digs with an 8 cell pack. never had any issues. I even had binding in the steering linkage I found later on. But even with the binding no smoke...

I must just have a bad one, I only had maybe a 1/2 hour on the servo.

I am sending the servo in for the warranty, one of our guys is a pro sponsored racer and knows the "guy" to know at Hytech, so maybe it will be a fast turn around.

Is this a TP995 servo or a Hitec 5995TG servo?
