| F.Y.I Energizer AAs
They have introduced 2500 mAh AAs. A 8 pack is $20. Their slow charger is $10. It takes ~8 hours to charge 4.

What are they? NIMH, NICAD, alkaline? Can you use a standard charger with them?

well, you can rule out alkaline, as they are not rechargable Shane Last edited by paranoid56; 03-27-2005 at 04:22 AM. |

I'm thinking you meant to say "NOT" rechargeable? Well, your average Alkaline battery is not, but Rayovac used to sell rechargeable alkaline batteries. I used to sell them. The downside to them was you could not charge them as many times as NIMH, but they came pre-charged, and were less expensive. They don't have the batteries on their site, but they do still have the chargers for them http://www.rayovac.com/products/rech...chargers.shtml But I was able to find the old page using www.archive.org http://web.archive.org/web/200003020.../ren_rec.shtml And a site that still sells the batteries http://www.magnacharge.com/mchg_ray.htm Quote:

We still have the rechargable alkaline Rayovacs at work for the remotes in our projectors. Been using them for years without failure.

For years? Really? They say they only can be recharged 25 times. Have you charged them that many times? I'm guessing not since they are in remotes which don't go through batteries very often.

You gotta remember...the Army is using these. How long something is "supposed" to work means nothing. |

These also have a 15 minute charger. They say that you can charge them 1,000 times on the package. Great batteries. Well worth the price.

Energizer mankes a few different models, also. Here's a link to check it on out: http://www.energizer.com/products/re...les/sizes.aspx |
