| I need some help....
Okay, I just sold my emaxx to someone off the traxxas forum. When I sent it to him, the motors were working just fine. He tells me he opened the box, charged the batts, hit the throttle and the titans started smoking. The thing is 2 days before I sold it, I was running it around. It ran perfectly fine. I know you guys over here are well educated on electric motors, is there any way I can see if he is telling the truth or trying to rip me some more money?

he is trying to rip you a new one imo. if they werked for you, then you sold it to him in running condition. if the motors started smoking, then if failed for him, or he caused the failure. how could you set him up for smoking motors anyway? you would be able to notice or smell burned motors upon opening of the box.

Yeah, thats kinda what I thought. The thing is, he can file a paypal complaint on me, but really what he is complaining about is something that cant be proven for my point or his.

just be nice about it. let him know that it was in working order, and there is nothing that you can do about it at this point. if he files a complaint then just let whoever (paypal, bidders) know your side- do it fairly and without emotion.

Sounds bogus to me, at least his part. Did you sell an ESC with it? Maybe he wired it wrong somehow, and nuked it by sheer ignorance.
