in my opinion the hitec 5955tg is the best but will run about 114.00 but

well worth it they have a excellent service system if u break it or

anyhting send it to them w/ copy of reciept or a letter of how u broke it

or why u need it asap. also for a cheeper servo the HS-645MG ulta torqu

works well for steering and a great winch and ru about 44.00

If you are running a two channel radio you will need a y harness, but if you have a three channel you should have a few options that you will be able to use. What radio do you have??

You can use a Y-harness but the steering will not be independent from the front meaning when you turn the wheel left the rear will do the opposite. The other option is to plug the rear steering servo into the aux. (or 3rd) channel port and "mix" the steering in to do the opposite of the front I ran my JRXS3-pro like this for a long time and liked it. I just got my radio screen to the servo reverse screen so I could switch back and forth between normal and reverse so I had crabwalk ability. The third option depends on your transmitter, some have a grip button that can be programmed to be a seperate steering "switch" when the button is centered the rear is straight ahead, when the button is moved left or right the wheels do the same. The only drawback to the last setup is the wheels turn all or nothing so if you only want a little rear steer you are out of luck! Hope this helps, I know I had a hard time with this stuff in the beginning.

Good Luck!!

Can you guys get the ACE RC DS1015 servo over there? It has monster torque and speed but is relativly cheap.

If you want 4WS on a basic radio then you can use a reversing Y lead (expert electronics make one - Horizon Hobbies). This will get your front and rear wheels working opposite to each other.

The other option is to use a Hyperion servo (or 2) as they can be easily programmed to work in reverse (and you can adjust endpoints, speed, deadband, resolution etc as well) just by plugging into your PC. They are 11kg at .13 sec and CHEAP! Around $69 here - $40 USD?.

I had a 200oz servo on my TXT, HORRIBLE... Even at 7.2volts, don't even think about it. Go with the Hitec HSR5990TG (new version of the HSR5995TG), or the JR DS8711, both are 333oz/400oz. Best option out there.

I am personally going to run 2 200oz servo's on each axle, just because I have a lot of them and am doing a budget TXT Super build.
