quick question... what size screws are people using for the lower links? 25mm is too short. 30mm is too long. i guess im going to have to cut some 30's down so they fit better

Szczerba 04-13-2009 04:57 PM

You talking about were they attach to the skid? It was a head scratcher for me as well when i was putting together the ST, so i just cut down the skid a bit so the 25mm would work.

i think thats what im going to do also. just not rigt now. ill finis the moch up and work out the details later.

but i am already at a stand still. when i go my traxxas ends i didnt get the right size... KK links have a 4mm thread and my ends are 3mm so im going to see if i can drill them out for now and grab some more later tonight. i believe the jato ends are 4mm... plz correct me if im wrong

Szczerba 04-13-2009 05:04 PM

I used the Revo rod ends. Worked just fine. Jatos would be massive.

robbio4422 04-13-2009 05:17 PM

drilled the ends out and they seem to work fine for now. ill just pick some up late so i can keep building.

Make sure you use 2 more bolts to attach the side plates to the skid (not just the ones for the links) this will make it a lot stronger. looking good so far.

will do... ty for that bit of info. i need to remove those this morning and shave the skid an seperate the lower links a little bit. then add the jato ends.

im not liking the fuel tubing im using for te shocks. does anyone know what else can be used for the losi shocks.... trying find a specific ball/socket or something

robbio4422 04-14-2009 01:31 PM

as you can see i cut 3mm off from each of the 4 corners so that i could use the 25mm screws fom rccrewz and catch the locknut

It's coming along nicely...

Were you planning on clocking your axles?
Still undecided on mine, was just going to run them stock and see how bad I drag the motor around, at least to start with.

robbio4422 04-14-2009 04:56 PM

curious about what im going to do for steering. i want to use the KK steering rod but not sure how/where to place the servo. i could use a few suggestions... been looking at a few other berg and KK builds but i cant find what im looking for.

some detailed pics would help me alot!

robbio4422 04-14-2009 08:58 PM
