Default Sicks CDW

This is my first berg build and it was actually running. But because I didn't even sleep and was still putting it together at the comp it was pretty much necessary to go through everything again and redo some things since it was so rushed. I ran this rig at our last comp and placed first with it! And let me add this rig is fricken great!

Here's what I got done so far

CDW MOA chassis. Let me just say this thing is amazing.

CDW OTA steering was a great investment quality is second to none. I'm also running VP knuckles and HHH35t motors.

On the rear axle I made a link relocation bracket like the front so that there is more clearance from the casing and the upper links cause of the clocking.

That's all for today will get more done tomorrow.

I made some 3/8" delrin lowers and 1/4" TI uppers.

Some HPI firestorm front shocks which I might add are super smooth and it looks like I won't be looking back at losi's. I also used some traxxas short rod ends and some maxx spring cups.

Got my dig switches rewired using some HH manley switches and a HS-55 servo.

We almost have a roller. I also had a friend weld me a TI stand since I had some extra.

I turned down some 3/8" delrin for the upper link spacers to run them parallel.

Gonna make a few more things today and hopefully update tonight.

Nice, gotta love TI parts.

I was looking at those front shocks in the hobby shop and thinking they would work well on Yotachump's chassis...

I'm a sucker when it comes to TI. More so when it's burned!

These shocks are great with this chassis. I had to limit them a little cause it was a tad high. Other than that I have not used a better shock yet

Nice Build!
Can't wait to see how it performs for ya.

He threw it together and won his first comp with it, now he's doing a more thorough rebuild.

I knew I shoulda "dropped" it when I was checking it out. Killah jo Gavyn, you have some building and driving skill. I'll be there Sunday with my paper and pen, taking notes.

I'll try and get a shot of it for you this week. But its pretty much 2 o-rings on each other inside a channel in the shock body which is a little smaller than the seal so it puts more pressure against the shock shaft. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks. It already performed great. It just needs a few minor tweaks.

Thanks brand. No need for the pen and paper. It was just a fluke.

Good to see this build going WorldWide finally

Nice work on the rebuild not that it really needed it :-P

I knew there was something I wanted to do to my dig switch setup! I remember DTP did something similar with bullet connectors. I'll have to look into adding plugs and making a spare switch setup for mine eventually.

Looking forward to seeing it on Sunday
